Operations Auditor

Location - Field based role covering the North of England, North East and Scotland

The Role

To conduct branch based operational audits across the Plumbing & Heating business units.
You will Identify and communicate risk exposures to branch and operational management and agree appropriate action to mitigate relevant risks. 
This role will require you to undertake field work for risk based P&H Audit Topical reviews.

Principe Accountabilities
  • To execute branch operational audits as determined by the Annual P&H audit plan
  • To issue operations audit reports and communicate effectively with operational management over issues that have been identified
  • To undertake field work, when required, for P&H Audit Topical reviews
  • To undertake special investigations / projects, as specified by the Audit Manager and report the findings to senior management
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with management across different business brands, ensuring that a “can do” professional approach is conveyed always
  • To aid with the coaching, mentoring and development of team colleagues

What you will have 
  • Certificate in Internal Audit / PIAA / CIA

  • Part qualified for CCAB

  • 1 year’s operations auditing experience

  • Degree qualification

  • Full Driving License 

  • Ability to work to the IIA standards of Ethics and internal auditing methodology

  • Experience within a multi site business

  • Effective communicator, both written and oral

  • Computer literate in Google / Office applications, Business Objects ACL and IDEA

  • POS experience would be preferred

  • Team player, but able to work independently

  • Exceptional group presentation skills
