We’re currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager to provide ownership and control over the management accounts for the Plumbing & Heating division in Northampton.

In this role, you will be reporting on commercial analysis, insight and commentary for the P&H businesses to the Board and senior management. Your excellent organisational and time management skills will be utilised on a daily basis, where you will be responsible for the integrity, maintenance and integration of the financial systems, ensuring the process is appropriately integrated with the Travis Perkins Group.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Lead the month-end process and provide ownership and control of the monthly management accounts for P&H Businesses.

  • Act as a main point of contact for the key stakeholders in the business, providing information and analysis where required.

  • Provide commercial analysis and insight on the business through daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the Board, senior management of the Plumbing & Heating division and Group Finance in Northampton.

  • Provide control and analysis over the balance sheets, including review of balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts with analysis and commentary where appropriate.

  • Ensure the financial systems are properly maintained, administered and integrated between business units and that appropriate internal controls are designed, implemented and operated effectively.

  • Take ownership of budgets and forecasts for the P&H businesses.

  • Develop and assist the team, ensuring roles and responsibilities are allocated appropriately, ensuring the team is able to meet demands of the business.



What we are looking for

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be excellent to allow you to successfully engage with senior commercial, financial and operational staff across the business.  You’ll already be savvy with financial processes including budgeting and forecasting, highly motivated towards strategic financial plans and driven to influence change. With your accountancy knowledge gained by completing a recognised accountancy qualification, you will liaise with key stakeholders, ensuring they have a full

understanding of the business performance, risks that exist, and the impact of business decisions.
