We have a fantastic opportunity to Join our Finance team as a Rebate Analyst, within our Plumbing and Heating Division at Travis Perkins plc. 

Role Purpose: 

The P&H Division of Travis Perkins is looking for a Rebates Analyst, to provide  support to the P&H Division Sales & Finance Teams. The role will be based in Crick initially but is moving to Harvey Reeves Road-St James, Northampton. (by April 2019). The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated and high performing team,  supporting a Division which has seen outstanding results in the past year.


  • Checking the calculation of Customer Rebates & Accuracy of Accruals posted to the general ledger.
  • Liaise with Sales Teams to ensure correct process is followed for loading deals onto the system and that all deals are recorded in the system.
  • Monitor Loading of Agreements, to ensure they are in place and correct
  • Delivery of Payments to customers either via credit note or cheque payment
  • Manage authorisation process of rebate payments to ensure customers are paid in a timely manner and within agreed SLAs.
  • Reconcile accrual held on the ledger matches the required accrual for rebates payable to customers
  • Delivery of Customer Sales Reporting so that Customers can monitor their progress towards their rebate discount
  • Accrual reporting to the Sales Team so that they can confirm the accuracy of the accruals by Customer
  • Liaising with the business facing Finance team to ensure the accounts for the Division reflect an appropriate charge in the P&L for customer discount and the appropriate accrual is recorded for future payments

What we are looking for:

  • Good numeracy skills and awareness of accounting rules.
  • Ability to accurately follow departmental procedures through to completion.
  • Ability to work as both part of a team, across functions and on your own.   
  • Flexible attitude and the ability to review current practices with the target of improving the department to achieve modern best practices.
  • Excellent Attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
